KTM-9 / Shellac

KTM-9 is a water based Acrylic Urethane self cross linking finish.  I use this in conjunction with shellac for an amazingly clear and deep finish that makes the wood grain pop and come alive.  Shellac is used as the sealer and color coats and the whole guitar then recieves 8-10 coats of KTM-9 for a hard finish that is crystal clear and very durable. 

Natural Tung Oil

Tung Oil is an environmentally friendly hand applied finish that is very different from a traditional lacquer finish.  It feels like bare wood and is great for necks and bodies alike.  This finish is applied in several coats and is final buffed to a wonderful satin sheen.  This is not a glossy finish and will dull and wear over time. Tung Oil soaks into the surface of the wood, rather than a hard finish on top protecting the wood.
