Frequently Asked Questions for Custom Guitar Builds
|
|
Do your guitars come left handed? |
Yes, every DGN Custom Guitar from the Paragon to the Model 28 Acoustic to your own custom build is available in a left handed version. Also unlike some other companies, there is NO upcharge for a left handed DGN Custom Guitar. |

Are there other pickups available besides DGN Handwounds? |
Although DGN Handwound pickups are the standard (and I guarantee not to disappoint) I also deal with Lollar Pickups. Let me know if you would like a quote for a set of Lollar Pickups for your custom guitar build. Lastly if you would like to supply your own pickups that is no problem at all. |

What is the average turnaround time on my custom guitar order? |
One can expect a turnaround of approximately 4-6 months for a custom electric guitar build and 6-8 months for a custom acoustic guitar build. There are several factors that effect turnaround time so this is only an estimate. The time could be shorter or longer depending on the back log of custom builds, the volume of repair work at any given time and in the case of the finishing portion of the build, the weather. |

What woods are available? |
The standard woods I work with are Honduran Mahogany, Eastern/Western Maple and Figured Redwood. Occasionally I have some extra special woods available for bodies necks and tops like Black Limba, Solid Indian Rosewood Neck Blanks, Ancient Kauri, and other cool woods. If you have something in mind, I will do my best to find a certain type of wood. With the constantly varying state of wood suppliers I cannot guarantee that I can get any particular type of wood, but I will do my best. Non-standard woods are priced accordingly. |

What type of strings do your guitars come with? |
I proudly use D’Addario Strings on all of my custom handcrafted guitars. Made here in the good ole’ USA, I have found no other string to match in consistency of quality and tone. From standard nickel plated and phosphor bronze to Pure Nickel and Chromes, they have every type of string I would ever need. |
