In 2008 Christopher Robin came to DGN Custom Guitars with a unique problem for a live playing situation.  He needed  a Solid Body Electric Guitar, a Slide Guitar and an Acoustic Guitar wrapped up into one instrument. The result of our collaborative effort is the Christopher Robin Signature Guitar. 

Over the next 2 years DGN and Christopher built and tested a couple of different designs.  What you see here is the final result, the official Christopher Robin or "CR Model" Guitar.

 The CR Model is available in 2 versions:

CR Standard - Solid 1 piece Honduran Mahogany Body and Neck, Figured Maple Top, Pickups of your choice, Wrap Around Tonepro's AVT2 bridge.

CR Signature - Same as above with a hand carved Figured Redwood Top and wood arm rest and tailpiece, CR inlayed in the fingerboard extension, and the Hum/P-90/Graptech Piezo pickup combo.

The Christopher Robin Signature Guitar

Here are the details of Christophers personal guitar.  It features an Old Growth Honduran Mahogany Body and Neck and a Highly Figured Redwood top.  It also features a hand carved Select Indian Rosewood arm rest and tailpiece.  The Double Cutaway design allows for amazing upper fret access which is ideal for slide playing.  The Humbucker/P-90 pickup combo gives you a spectrum of tones only available before in 2 seperate guitars.  The real magic in this guitar is what you can't see.  The guitar features a Graphtech Piezo System.  Each string has its own acoustic pickup built into the saddle of the bridge.  From there the signal is run to a Graphtech Ghost preamp system which converts the signal to an acoustic tone rivaling the highest quality acoustic instruments.  The output jack has a "Smart" switching system that runs the guitar in either mono or stereo by simply plugging in the appropriate cable.  This is a very advanced system.
